Markaudio Alpair-7MS Gold 4″ Full Range Woofer
The advanced design Alpair 7MS (mono suspension) is a radical departure from previous models. The 7MS is completely new, utilising many new design components and manufacturing processes. The two main features are the patent-pending Negative Camber Cone and Mono suspension system. Other key features include a custom designed, gas-flowed glass-fibre chassis and dedicated ultra light voice coil. HighlightsLatest model. The run-in time for the 7MS is significantly reduced compared to previous models. Ten hours of light music at moderate volumes is sufficient for the suspension to reach its optimal operating pattern. An Arrestor (as deployed in previous Alpair models) provides an audible warning of the accidental excess excursion. The low-mass coil has a vented former and the motor employs a custom made copper plating to reduce distortion. The MS7 is a bass capable audio driver with comparable performance to light-medium load traditional mid-bass units of the same size. Product details Markaudio Alpair-7MS Gold 4" Full Range Woofer  After releasing the Pluvia range of drivers, which have been well-received, Mark set about the next design evolution. As some of you will know Mark's design ethos is mechanical efficiency, adding lightness and simplifying where possible. In these new drivers, Mark has managed to achieve much more with much less. The advanced design Alpair 7MS (mono suspension) is a radical departure from previous models. The 7MS is completely new, utilizing many new design components and manufacturing processes. The two main features are the patent-pending Negative Camber Cone and Mono suspension system. Other key features include a custom-designed, gas-flowed glass-fiber chassis and dedicated ultralight voice coil. The 7MS cone is an ultra-shallow design affording a wide dispersion pattern. The outer section of the cone profile is angled backward creating a +180 degrees emittance pattern to help optimize stereo imaging. Vocals from quality sources sound more natural and detailed as the center cap and cone profile are geometrically close-aligned. Much technical research has been done to balance the driver's powertrain (cone, cap, coil, and suspension) between its axis of travel and the corresponding center of gravity. The new negative-camber cone facilitates the repositioning of the coil to avoid the need for a traditional rear suspension (spider). Mark's new mono suspension design frees the coil from having a restrictive spider bonded to it, improving the transfer of energy from the driver's motor to its cone. The new suspension employs an all-new custom mix of four synthetic materials, resulting in improved linearity under low-frequency loads. The various slopes and rounded angles help improve sound wave emittance. Custom extended terminals are provided for push-on connectors or light-soldering for cables up to 1.5mm diameter. The 7MS is an audio driver designed for the dedicated music lover and High-Fidelity enthusiast. Attention to design detail along with a close tolerance manufacturing standard to +/- 0.05mm on most component alignments make this new generation of Markaudio transducers stand out from the crowd.Show more Show lessMarkaudio CHR-70 Champagne 4″ Full Range Aluminium Woofer

The sound has superb clarity and detail, with a clean, precise and phase-accurate balance. A long stroke helps avoid excess compression. Range is exceptional for a sub-compact loudspeaker, stretching from upper bass notes to well beyond the upper limit of human hearing. The advanced alloy cone has a very shallow profile, and with the signature Tozzi waveguide, gives excellent dispersion of sound energy into the room. No filter is used; the output of the amplifier goes direct to the driver. Features   BUILT FROM THE GROUND UP MarkAudio-SOTA loudspeakers are built from the ground up, including the cabinets, crossovers and speaker drivers. Many manufacturers choose off-the-shelf components that aren't always a perfect match to their system design targets, MarkAudio-SOTA, purists by engineering standards, build their components to precisely match the specific design characteristics of the speaker systems.   ALL-RANGE DRIVER APPROACH MarkAudio-SOTA's unique all-range approach offers the rich midrange that is typical of a wide-range single speaker design, while providing a full frequency range extending from 80Hz to 25kHz, and the high-impact dynamics of more typical multi-way speakers. Using an advanced 50mm Sota 5 all-range driver, its low mass mixed-alloy cone provides superior transparency and detail.     SYMMETRICAL SOUND FIELD MarkAudio-SOTA uses its own symmetrical technology. The dual, wide dispersion, shallow-profile cone drivers replace conventional cone-woofer and dome-tweeter combinations. With their matched dispersion and output characteristics, along with a minimal crossover slope, the two custom-made Sota drivers provide an audibly seamless integration between high and low frequencies. This integration results in a smooth, natural output and soundstage that affords a wider range of seating positions, allowing several people to hear a top quality performance at one time.   ADVANCED CABINET ENGINEERING Tozzi One is constructed from three rigid sub-structures. They are made from a composite of Acrylonitrile-Butadiene- Styrene with reinforcing fibres. These can be produced to exceptional tolerances, have a long service life and are cosmetically attractive. The front and central sub-structures are precision aligned and bonded to create a stable primary assembly. The rear panel is then mechanically secured, completing the structure.    STYLING Tozzi One was developed by Mark Fenlon, the British engineer responsible for the internationally acclaimed Alpair loudspeaker drive units. Mark's concept was to develop a sub-compact loudspeaker to partner our flagship Viotti One standmount, using advanced composite materials that suit modern decor and living requirements.  The size and styling echoes compact high-quality cameras, and Tozzi One can be mounted on any standard camera or photo-light tripod, making it a great lifestyle icon in modern living spaces. It can also be used on desktops, shelves or wall brackets. Three choices of finish are available, giving a fresh, modern appearance to this unique product.Show more Show lessMarkaudio Tozzi One Kit White DIY Kit Components and Cabinets | Pair

It is the first “full range†driver that can handle bass loads typically delivered by 5.5 inch to 6.5 inch mid-bass units used in most 2 way systems. The Pluvia 11 cone is an entirely new design from Mark Fenlon. It uses a new super-strength aerospace grade alloy designed to cope with high bending stress loads. The material thickness is increased by 50% over previous Markaudio designs, yet the profile remains shallow to increase dispersion. Two more processes have been added to the Multiform cone production sequence to increase Pluvia 11's operational low frequency load capacity. The all-new front suspension has a variable thickness geometry, increasing oscillatory stability by 30% over previous designs. The rear suspension (spider) has an operational surface area 25% larger than the Alpair 10 to cope with load demands of typical mid-bass units. However, the Pluvia 11's high range has not been sacrificed. It outperforms the smaller Alpair 10 by reaching slightly higher frequencies with an improved spread on the high-range lift above 10kHz. Other design advances include the new “easy install†frame. This new-technology one-piece moulding utilises a GF30 glass fibre and resin mix. Pluvia 11's frame is more rigid than previous designs, with a mounting depth of only 4.5mm, making both recessed and surface-mounting simple. Two new cone colours add visual interest. Along with the Pluvia 7, this new family of drivers will serve custom builders well into the future. For the first time in the history of traditional full-range driver design, users now have a genuine choice to go full-range without sacrificing bass handling, or use it as a wide-range mid-bass driver that allows simple filtering. The new Pluvia 11 is an excellent high-end and multi-purpose driver. Each driver is tested and paired with another driver that shows the closest matching frequency response measurement. In order to respect this philosophy and added value to these great products, we at SoundImports, recomend you to purchase them as pairs. The Magnetic Arc Oxidisation Process is done at extremely high temperature in a flux bath that is prone to differential temperatures (hot/cold spots) which can warp the cones. The process is 10 times the cost of normal cone production, at least half are scrapped as it does render cones unusable if they are warped even slightly. The MAOP process involves a chemical conversion where the cone material is converted into its crystalline oxide. The crystal grows both inward into the substrate and outward. As such the new coating is not a deposited coating it is part of the original structure which gives excellent adhesion. The large crystal structure provides excellent stiffness and resistance to damage. The crystalline structure also encapsulates microscopic voids. It is supposed that it is the blend of microscopic voids and stiff structure that lend the cone the audio properties of both the metal cone and the paper cone, accuracy and a listen all day quality. After construction, each driver is individually measured in the anechoic chamber at the Markaudio factory and pair matched based on that data to within, 0.5% tolerance. Each pair is supplied with individual electrical and acoustic measurements.Show more Show lessMarkaudio MAOP-11 6.5″ Full-range Woofer
